The
capital of a region known as the "garden of Spain".
It is dominated by its magnificent cathedral featuring some of
the greatest examples
of Spanish Baroque and Renaissance Art.
Elsewhere in the city, the visitor can find remnants of Murcia's history from
the Roman and Moorish periods.
Take time to drive through the surrounding farmland (la huerta) where you will
find fields of peppers drying in the sun, acres of roses and dahlias, or mile
after mile of vegetables growing all year round - destined for markets around
Europe. |
